We are so impressed with this place! We stopped for pasties but got tempted by the sandwiches. We were in town for a week and ended up going here 3 times! Food feels like home cooking. Sandwiches are large and they don't skimp on the fillings. We had the veggie and the tuna melt. Both were fantastic. We also had iced coffee. Very good! Each time the staff was smiling, friendly, and laughing. They seemed happy to work there. The drive thru is efficient. And we ate inside one day, too. Limited seating and the inside could be a little cozier, but overall, we give this place two big thumbs up!
I have been twice had a sandwich and chips both times. It was great loaded with meat and cheese and tasted great!!!
I liked my white chocolate coffee. It was smooth. Not bitter. Parking is a bit limited though. It's a cute shop with a drive through.
I've been here so many times! Probably the closest coffee shop to my house. A classic Des Moines staple. They have amazing lotus energy drinks, milkshakes, frappes, and breakfast bagels + so much more I have yet to try. A hot white chocolate mocha from here tastes amazing. HIGHLY recommend this place. The inside is very cute and spacious ++ they have a drive thru with really great service and baristas!
Was in the area and decided to come back and have myself another cup of coffee. Still satisfied with their coffee. Went through the drive thru this time and I was only the second person in line on an early weekday afternoon. Took only about 2 minutes for them to finish making my drink. Overall, I still recommend!
On 5/13/21 My daughter and I were driving around and came across Auntie Irene's Expresso, Pastries and Gourmet Ice cream small shop. The shop had many seating options; Kids corner. Small nooks. The interior decor and design is atheistically pleasing. We chose the exterior seating with a view under the sun. It was not busy during this time. Only one customer ahead of us. We had already eaten lunch so we decided on ice cream dessert. I got the Almond Fudge on waffle cone. My daughter got the Maple Pecan on waffle cone. They were so yummy! We definitely will return to try other sandwich and pastries options they offer.
This place is has great food, yummy coffee and amazing customer service. Honestly, these women scream sunshine. The interior is cozy and welcoming with lively customers. There is a drive thru for your convenience, which I love! And they're always so sweet when I bring my dog
The ambience is nice and it has a drive thru! You can get drinks, icecream, desert, and sandwiches all in one place. Nice seating areas too to hang out.
